    Abi is instrumental in designing programs and ideas for enrichment and natural dietary supplements. She also is entirely in charge of our Landscape Restoration Program.

    Pat started volunteering weekly since 2016, and has been a great asset and friend ever since.

    She has four parrots including a CAG adopted from the rescue.

    She worked as an accountant for Unitypoint Healthcare for over 30 years.

    Jessie began volunteering with the intent of finding a buddy for thier first parrot, and ended up becoming an all purpose wing man.

    Currently supervised by 6 parrots, 4 from IPR.

  • Sarah Kadlec: Staff

    Full time Manager

    Sarah started volunteering in early 2017, and became staff in 2018.

    They banded wild birds and cared for a macaw after college, then volunteered at Oasis Sanctuary in Arizona in 2017. They have always surrounded their life with birds.

    Reptile, amphibian, and invert enthusiast

    Owned by 6 birds; three parrots from IPR, two doves, one canary, and a handicapped pigeon from Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue.

  • Dr Jennifer Bock-Vanaria: Visiting Veterinarian

    BS Augustana, DVM University of Illinois: Champaign-Urbana, AVCA Health Pioneers Institute

    Began volunteering as part of her training for veterinary medicine.

    Comes once a month to work on beak and nail trims, general wellness exams, intake exams including bloodwork, chiropractic care, and diet advice for enhancing wellness and health.
